In 1868, in response to a request by billiard ball maker Phelan and Collander, John Wesley Hyatt invented a way to make billiard balls by injecting celluloid into a mould. By 1872, John and his brother Isaiah Hyatt patented the injection moulding machine.
The definition of injection moulding was shaping of rubber or plastic articles by injecting heated material into a mould.
Since then injection moulding has advanced somewhat and today had become a highly accurate economic way of producing plastic components.
We have been injection moulding since we commenced business in 2008 and have highly automated production facilities in Ireland & Southern China with a new plant in Morocco currently under construction.
